Overview
A Nice Recipe With Crispy On The Outside And Soft Inside. These South Indian Wadas Recipe Served With Coconut Chutney And It Makes A Delicious Snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Bengal gram dal (chana dal)
  • 2 whole dry red chillies
  • 2 teaspoons finely chopped green chillies
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
  • 4 tablespoons chopped coriander
  • 1/2 cup grated fresh coconut
  • 2 tablespoons chopped mint leaves
  • salt to taste
  • oil for deep frying
  • coconut chutney to serve

Method

  • Clean, wash and soak the dal overnight. Drain.
  • Grind the dal with the dry red chillies, green chillies and cumin seeds and a little water to get a thick coarse paste.
  • Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
  • Shape into small wadas and deep fry in hot oil till golden brown. Ensure that the wadas are cooked in the centre.
  • Drain on absorbent paper and serve hot with chutney.
