A Nice Recipe With Crispy On The Outside And Soft Inside. These South Indian Wadas Recipe Served With Coconut Chutney And It Makes A Delicious Snack.
Approx 30 Min
- 1 cup Bengal gram dal (chana dal)
- 2 whole dry red chillies
- 2 teaspoons finely chopped green chillies
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
- 4 tablespoons chopped coriander
- 1/2 cup grated fresh coconut
- 2 tablespoons chopped mint leaves
- salt to taste
- oil for deep frying
- coconut chutney to serve
- Clean, wash and soak the dal overnight. Drain.
- Grind the dal with the dry red chillies, green chillies and cumin seeds and a little water to get a thick coarse paste.
- Add the remaining ingredients and mix well.
- Shape into small wadas and deep fry in hot oil till golden brown. Ensure that the wadas are cooked in the centre.
- Drain on absorbent paper and serve hot with chutney.
